3rd to 5th May 2017- Aero modeling workshop was conducted at Main Centre. Twenty-two students (Std. 4 to 9) participated. The students were taken through the theoretical aspects of history of aviation, science of how aero planes fly. They prepared Paper planes, foam and corrugated sheet planes. They were explained the Parts of aeroplane, ornithopter Catapult launched plane and ornithopter. They were also taught how helicopters, boomerang and rockets work; they prepared these working small models and took them home. PPT, videos were used to explain the various concepts of flight. The participants thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this workshop. The workshop was conducted by Wg. Cdr. (retd) Ajit Sapre.
